FORT COLLINS, COLO. – July 26, 2016 – For the third consecutive year, Danielle Anderson, known onstage as Danielle Ate the Sandwich, will charm audiences with her ukulele and unique brand of talent at the final 2016 Lagoon Summer Concert on Aug. 3. Her “Fanwiches” can catch her on the west lawn of Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center for the free concert beginning at 6 p.m.

The one-woman singer-songwriter showcases a quirky blend of indie-folk music and original lyrics that appeal to audiences of all ages. Her repertoire ranges from thoughtful, personal songs to beautifully re-done covers of such artists as Taylor Swift, Iron and Wine and Ray LaMontagne.

A true millennial success story, Danielle’s popularity began humbly at open mic nights around Fort Collins and exploded with the popularity of her personality-infused YouTube channel. Over the past seven years, her talent has earned her praise from critics near and far, including Denver Westword, UKE Magazine (UK), KAMUKE (Australia) and many more.

Her most recent of five independent albums is titled “The Drawing Back of Curtains” and is the soundtrack to the HBO documentary film, “Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson.” Other impressive career highlights include sharing the stage with artists such as Pomplamoose, Leo Kottke and Mumford & Sons.

Little Kid Rock Band, Cache La Poudre Elementary School, will have the pleasure of opening for Danielle Ate the Sandwich on Aug. 3. Those in attendance may also enjoy cuisine from various local food trucks: Pizza Casbah, The Goodness Truck, Gunter’s Bavarian Grill, A-Maize’n Kettle Corn and The Human Bean Coffee Truck.
