Lagoon Summer Concert Series Presents Indie-Rock Band Slow Caves
Presented by Colorado State University and Kaiser Permanente

FORT COLLINS, COLO. – June 21, 2017 – The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is excited to welcome indie-rock band, Slow Caves to the stage on Wednesday, June 28. Music fans across northern Colorado and beyond are invited to enjoy this free concert on the west lawn of the Lory Student Center from 6-8:30 p.m.
Slow Caves is comprised of Danish-born brothers, Jakob and Oliver Mueller, who lend their vocals and guitar talent to the band, as well as bass player David Dugan and drummer Jackson Lamperes. The foursome accomplishes their signature indie-rock sound by channeling old-fashioned hooks from the 80s and 90s mixed with the vibrant music scene of today.
Although formed in Fort Collins, Slow Caves has made a splash across the nation. Their northern Colorado popularity quickly expanded to the Denver area and eventually crossed state lines, leading them to play at acclaimed music festivals like SXSW in Austin, TX, and CMJ in New York. In 2016, Slow Caves signed with Old Flame Records in Cincinnati and has spent much of 2017 touring across several states. Learn more at www.slowcaves.com.
Opening for Slow Caves on June 28 is Little Kid Rock performer Jaanvi Gurung. Attendees can also enjoy delicious eats from the following local food trucks: Mile High Lobster Shack, The Taco Stop, La Piadina, A-Maize’N Kettle Corn and Divine Ice Cream.
The Lagoon Summer Concert Series will run for eight weeks throughout the summer and feature a variety of music styles, including country, reggae, folk, rock and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets for an enjoyable evening of free music. Residents should be cautioned that there is no parking allowed on Plum Drive.
