FORT COLLINS, COLO. – June 28, 2017 – For many years, The Steve Manshel Band has wowed audiences of all ages with its “mild to wild” musical experience. The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is excited to present this energetic band on Wednesday, July 5, 6-8:30 p.m. Audiences are invited to enjoy this free concert in the pleasant setting of the west lawn of Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center.

The Steve Manshel Band includes front man singer-songwriter and guitarist Steve Manshel, Tom Capek on keyboards and vocals, Steve Ivey on drums and vocals, David Becher on bass and vocals, and Anneke Toomey on keyboards and vocals. The talented group brings a dynamic rock vibe to the stage that is sure to get audiences up and dancing to the beat.

Manshel is no stranger to the limelight. Upon making the move from New York to Colorado many years ago, Manshel was picked up by legendary band, Firefall, which played several songs he had written. In addition to showcasing his musical ability, Manshel has also supported a variety of notable causes throughout his career, including the ALS Association, MDA and Donor Alliance. Little Kid Rock performers, Grace Kuch and Eli Slocomob, will have the pleasure of opening for Steve Manshel Band on July 5. Concert goers are encouraged to grab dinner at one of the several local food trucks onsite: Umami, Austin Taco, Pizza Casbah, A-Maize’N Kettle Corn and Human Bean Coffee Truck.

The Lagoon Summer Concert Series will run for eight weeks throughout the summer and feature a variety of music styles, including country, reggae, folk, rock and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets for an enjoyable evening of free music. Residents should be cautioned that there is no parking allowed on Plum Drive.
