FORT COLLINS, COLO. – June 15, 2016 – The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is taking a turn down a country road for the second concert of the 8-week series. On Wednesday, June 22, Bonnie & the Clydes will grace the stage with a unique country/rock musical style. The concert begins at 6 p.m. on the west lawn of Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center and is free and open to the public.

Bonnie & the Clydes is comprised of frontwoman and lead vocalist Bonnie Sims, lead guitarist Taylor Sims, drummer Jake Coffin, pedal steel guitarist Glenn Taylor and bassist Caleb Roberts. The quintet’s harmonies, solos and original songwriting create a unique blend of traditional country infused with modern melody.

The band was formed in 2010 and has since attracted diverse audiences across Colorado and beyond. They received the “Best Country Band” award in 2013 and 2014 from the Denver Westword’s Yearly “Best Of” poll, and have released three studio albums.

Bonnie Sims was born and raised in Texas, where she was inspired by her father who was a career musician. She learned to play guitar at age 12 and mandolin at age 14 and continued her musical journey at South Plains College. During her college years, she was awarded with Best Female Vocalist and Best Female Instrumentalist. When she is not performing with the Clydes, she duets with her husband and bandmate Taylor Sims. http://www.bonnieandherclydes.com/home.html
