Today, Jean Claude’s children, Matilda and Enzo Lucas, proudly lead the business, carrying on their family’s culinary traditions with passion and innovation.
Jean Claude’s journey began in his father’s bakery in Brittany. After years of running his family’s business, he moved to Key West, Florida, where he owned the beloved “Croissants de France” for 17 years. Upon relocating to Fort Collins, he brought his authentic approach to French baking, emphasizing the artisan way—using no preservatives, mixed powders, or chemicals. Although retired, Jean Claude and his wife, Carole, still lend a hand during the holiday season, adding a personal touch to the business.

Matilda and Enzo Lucas, who began working in the restaurant at age 14, have taken the reins, incorporating their love for baking and a dedication to delivering exceptional food and service.

Recently revamped with a new menu, La Creperie now features seasonal offerings like a creamy mushroom soup with a hint of lemon and fried shiitake mushrooms, as well as a decadent French toast topped with caramelized rum bananas, toasted hazelnuts, and Nutella.
