What is the Corporate Food Fight?
Each year throughout the month of April, FBLC hosts the Corporate Food Fight among several companies in Larimer County who come up with unique ways to bring in food or funds – the fun is up to you!
The Corporate Food Fight is:
- A food- & fund-raiser for the Food Bank for Larimer County
- A friendly competition amongst over 30 local organizations
- An opportunity for positive community PR including media outreach, social media posts, etc.
- A chance for company Teambuilding
- FUN!
How Does it Work?
Some companies keep it simple with a food drive or have a food based event like a bake sale or chili cook-off – others get down-right creative and do things like executive tricycle races or have genuine food fights! You will re-ceive weekly emails with fun motivating messages, and ideas for how to do food drives internally. Employees have a great time, and the companies are well recognized through community PR including: media outreach, social me-dia posts/links, web updates, etc.
What is my minimum commitment?
There is no minimum commitment! The Food Fight is a food and fundraiser for the Food Bank, but all teams—big or small—are welcome! We simply ask that you plan to pick up any food/fund drive supplies you’d like to borrow (bins, boxes, receipts, posters, etc.) and plan to drop your donations off at one of our 3 locations at the conclusion of the campaign. The rest is up to you!
Who else participates?
The Corporate Food Fight has become a popular event for many companies in the area. In 2018, over 30 participating teams collectively contributed over $175,000 and more than 6,200 pounds of food! As we see more and more people who are struggling to put food on the table, community support like this is invaluable and allows us to continue our hunger relief efforts.
