(Fort Collins, CO—Feb. 20, 2017) – Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar, a high-quality and sustainability-oriented seafood restaurant located at 123 N. College Ave. in downtown Fort Collins, is offering northern Colorado an authentic New Orleans-style Mardi Gras experience. Starting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, customers can enjoy a crawfish boil, specialty beverages and live music from the Jon Gray Band.
“Through Jax’s cuisine, ambience and special events, we pride ourselves on presenting culturally enriching experiences,” said Jax General Manager Sam Taylor. “We invite our community to celebrate Fat Tuesday the right way with crawfish, booze, beads and jazz, just like in New Orleans.”
The menu consists of live, fresh “flown-in” crawfish, boiled in spicy broth with potatoes, corn, and andouille sausage, all for $18 per person. Specialty beverages offered are Dixie, The Post beers, Bulliet Rye, Sazerac and Jax’s Hurricane. To round out the night, guests can enjoy live music by New Orleans-inspired jazz artist, the Jon Gray Band.
Jax is well-known for hosting unique cultural events. For several years on Christmas Eve, Jax has been the only area restaurant to serve the Feast of the Seven Fishes, a long-standing Italian-American tradition that originated in Southern Italy.
