The renovation of Old Town Square includes extensive infrastructure improvements, including the replacement of a City water main connection near the intersection of Walnut and Linden Streets. Beginning Monday, May 4, the intersection of Walnut and Linden, just north of Old Town Square, will be closed to install the new water main connection and make street paving repairs. The intersection is planned to reopen Friday May 8. The closure affects vehicle, bicyclist and pedestrian traffic as well as a quantity of on-street public parking spaces. Detours will be marked. All Businesses will remain open.

Thank you for your patience as the Downtown Development Authority improves the Old Town experience. Project updates are available online at downtownfortcollins.org, on Facebook, and on Twitter: @oldtownsquarefc.

About the Old Town Square Renovation Project
As part of the vibrant Downtown experience, the public plaza portion of Old Town Square has been heavily used over the last 30 years. The infrastructure is reaching the end of its lifecycle and maintenance costs have increased, making it more feasible to create and implement a renovation plan. The DDA and its project team are committed to creating a high-quality, public gathering space that accommodates a variety of activities now and into the future. The final designs will also be on display during the groundbreaking ceremony.
