NORTHERN COLORADO, March 27, 2017 – The Human Bean, a community-oriented and locally owned drive-thru coffee shop, hosted a school supply drive as its latest philanthropic project. The school supplies collected from its generous customers will help ensure that all students in northern Colorado can have access to quality supplies. The Human Bean conducts a school supply drive twice a year because of the overwhelming response from its customers and recipients.
“The Human Bean values a solid educational system and strong community,” said Owner of the Human Bean, Frank Sherman. “The Human Bean is proud to support local students, as well as countless other causes.”
The drive collected notebooks, folders, pencils, scissors, glue sticks, backpacks and several other school supplies. Items from The Human Bean’s Larimer County stands were donated to Lincoln Elementary School in Fort Collins, and items from the Weld County stands were donated to District 6 Teachers Closet in Greeley, a program that gives teachers access to free school supplies for their classroom. The drive was so successful that a mid-drive pick-up was arranged for all locations.
The Human Bean is well-known for its northern Colorado charity efforts. In addition to the school supply drive, The Human Bean has donated to organizations such as the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund, The Kayla Foundation, OpenStage Theatre and Company, Alpha Center and many more.
