FORT COLLINS, COLO, Sept. 13, 2016 – The Human Bean, a community-focused drive-thru coffee business in northern Colorado, invites the public to participate in its Guest Barista Day on Thursday, Sept. 15 at all Fort Collins locations. 10 percent of all sales from the day will be returned to the Colorado Chapter of the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund, a local charity that provides support and resources to firefighters and their families.

“The firefighters in our community are truly local heroes who risk their lives for the safety and wellbeing of our friends and families,” said Frank Sherman, owner of The Human Bean. “It is an honor to support this worthy organization.”

The Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund was started in honor of Terry Farrell, a decorated member of Rescue 4/FDNY and chief of the Dix Hills Volunteer Fire Department, who lost his life in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack. To continue his legacy of selflessness and compassion, the fund donates time and money to firefighters and their families in times of need. This includes support for line of duty deaths, training equipment, help for sick family members and more. The fund has donated more than $80,000 to Colorado families. More information on the fund may be found at www.terryfundco.org.

Participating Human Bean locations are at 821 N. College, 1822 S. College, and the CSU campus location on the southwest side near Moby Arena. For more information on The Human Bean and its philanthropy efforts, please visit humanbeannortherncolorado.com.
