Fort Collins, COLO., (June 15, 2016) – Jennifer Bargmann, M.S., Registered Psychotherapist and owner of Hope Whispers Counseling in Windsor, is helping to sponsor Houska Automotive’s Garage Band Event June 18 through a $500 donation. The event will raise funds to benefit Cubby, Redeemer Lutheran Church’s K-9 Comfort Dog, which has brought a healing presence to the northern Colorado community since April 2016.

Hope Whispers Counseling offers unique and focused treatment plans for those struggling with mental illness. Bargmann specializes in treatment of eating disorders, self-injury and highly sensitive people.

In addition to donating for the Garage Band Event, Bargmann also offers free services to those on the Comfort Dog team at Redeemer Lutheran Church to express her support of animals as channels of therapy. Cubby is a purebred Golden Retriever and is part of Lutheran Church Charities’ K-9 Comfort Dog Program, an independent nonprofit affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. She is trained to comfort people at churches, schools, nursing homes, hospitals, events, and in disaster response situations.

To raise funds for the care of Cubby, Houska Automotive’s Garage Band Event will have silent and live auctions and accept donations from the community. The event will run from 6-9 p.m. and feature a joyous night of live entertainment from a local band, great barbeque, community and fellowship. The goal is to raise $15,000 for the care and support of Cubby.
