Healing Warriors Program Welcomes New Board President

FORT COLLINS, CO / Healing Warriors Program, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing no cost, non-narcotic care to service members and their families, is thrilled to announce the appointment of our new Board President, a distinguished Army veteran and former three-term mayor of Fort Collins, Ray Martinez. As a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our veteran’s healing and well-being, we are confident that Ray’s strong leadership, profound commitment, and extensive experience will enhance the mission of Healing Warriors Program.
Due to his meritorious service to his country, Ray received the Army Commendation Medal. Prior to his public service as Fort Collins City Mayor and City Councilmember, Ray served on the Fort Collins police force as a sergeant. Ray’s firsthand understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by our nation’s heroes gives him insight into the work we do at Healing Warriors Program. His resilience and dedication have not only been evident in his military service but also in his public service to the city of Fort Collins as police sergeant, City Mayor, and City Councilmember. He has championed community growth, unity, and development.
Former Board President Nadine Trujillo-Rogers said, “I am thrilled to pass the torch to Ray Martinez as the new Board President of Healing Warriors Program. With an exceptional record of public service, a decorated veteran, and his active involvement in several boards, Ray brings invaluable experience and a deep commitment to our cause. As we embark on this new chapter, I am confident that Ray Martinez’s passion for preventing Veteran suicide and his exceptional qualifications will drive Healing Warriors Program to even greater heights.”
Ray expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “As a veteran who has proudly served in the United States Army, and now as an active volunteer in the community, I am honored to announce my commitment to serve as the Chair of Healing Warriors and their mission to support fellow veterans.” Ray reflected on his experiences by sharing, “Having experienced firsthand the camaraderie and dedication that comes with serving in the military, I understand the significance of answering the call to duty. It is not only our duty to serve our country, but also our duty to serve those who have bravely served alongside us. Healing Warriors provides invaluable support and resources to veterans, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they deserve.”
