Grade A for Health Care in Northern Colorado

Today feels like ‘health care day’ based on my calendar and the information coming across my desk.

First, I got to tour the new Columbine Patio Homes. They are off Torino Circle located behind New Mercer Commons and beside The Worthington. Of the 34 units, 20 have already been leased, and I can see why: they’re beautiful. (Full disclosure: I’m on the Columbine Community Advisory Board. There’s nothing in this for me, but some of you or a family member might have an interest in something like this. They are a great addition to the community; I’m a bit ‘wowed’ by them.)

Then I got an invitation from Banner Health to a special announcement on August 30 about an exciting new collaboration for cancer care in Northern Colorado. The information doesn’t give details about the collaboration, but a rumor shooting around town mentions ‘Mayo Clinic.’ No doubt there will be lots of news coverage about this in a couple of weeks, but it sounds like the service for cancer patients and their families in Northern Colorado is about to have an exciting new addition.

Finally, we got a press release from UCHealth, which is posted here, announcing Medical Center of the Rockies and Poudre Valley Hospital as the 5th and 10th ranked hospitals in the state.

We live in a great area and the health care services here are a big plus.
