Ginger and Baker is proud to announce the addition of Tucker Creveling as the new Chef de Cuisine. Tucker will lead the culinary team in The Cache, offering elevated Northern Colorado cuisine, and The Rooftop Bar, offering cocktails and small plates on the second floor of their renovated Mill.
Tucker comes to Ginger and Baker following four and a half years as sous chef at Windsor’s Chimney Park, voted one of the top 100 restaurants in the U.S.
“We’re excited to have Tucker join our team,” said Jeff Stokholm, Ginger and Baker’s Director of Operations. “He really won us over with his talent, passion and enthusiasm.”
Tucker is a rare breed, someone born and raised here in Fort Collins. While still at Poudre High School, Tucker began washing dishes at Choice City Butcher and Deli, and soon began working with the chefs. “I knew then cooking was what I wanted to do,” he said.
Since then, Tucker has risen through the ranks at Northern Colorado fine dining restaurants, learning and perfecting his skills along the way. While largely self-taught, Tucker cites Chimney Park Chef Jason Schaefer as one of his major culinary influences.
As for his culinary style, Tucker says, “Do it right, keep it simple, make the best of the ingredients. I stick to the roots but do it in an elevated way, staying true to the classics but adding my own twist.”
Tucker will introduce new menus in June, with new specials focusing on the abundance of summer ingredients. To showcase the menus, Ginger and Baker is extending their summer weekend hours for The Cache and Rooftop.
The Cache: Monday – Thursday, 4-9pm / Friday – Sunday, 4-10pm
The Rooftop: Monday-Thursday, 4-9pm / Friday – Sunday, 2-10pm
About Ginger and Baker – Since opening in 2017, this historic renovated grain mill has become a River District hub and home to a market, bakery, restaurants, teaching kitchen, event spaces and some of the best patios in town.
For over 100 years this old Mill at 359 Linden Street has been a FoCo staple and gathering spot. Back in the day, farmers, ranchers and townsfolk swapped stories and bought feed and supplies. Today, locals and visitors come by for a warm welcome along with breakfast, lunch or dinner and everything in between.
