We talk a lot about the importance of relationships in business. We encourage people to get out, meet others, make connections and build their networks. But there’s a piece of that conversation we sometimes overlook: good networking is a skill, and like any skill, it can be learned and strengthened.
That’s why I’m genuinely excited about something new we’re launching at the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce. We’ve partnered with Business Networking Done Right to create Networking in Action, a new program designed to help Northern Colorado professionals become better, more intentional networkers while building meaningful relationships with some of the best and brightest people in our business community.
We want to give people the tools to network more intentionally, connect them with great people and give them the opportunity to put those tools to work.
Led by professional networker Andrew Johnson, Networking in Action is structured, facilitated and focused on building the know, like and trust that turns an introduction into a relationship and a relationship into opportunity.
And I think that matters. We host a lot of opportunities at the Chamber for people to come together, but simply putting people in the same room doesn’t guarantee meaningful connections. Networking in Action adds another dimension: professional guidance, practical strategies and a structure designed to help people get more from the time they invest in building their professional relationships.
