Comcast opened more than 80 Lift Zone facilities around Colorado, allowing low-income students, parents and community members access to free high-speed WiFi services.
These Lift Zones provide a space for students to participate in distance learning and to accomplish homework, as well as adults a location to work remotely, look for or apply to a job and learn digital skills.
Lift Zones complement Comcast’s landmark Internet Essentials program, which since 2011, has helped connect more than half a million low-income Coloradans to a home internet connection. And, through the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), eligible low-income households can receive up to $30/month ($75/month on Tribal lands) toward the cost of Internet and/or mobile service. When households select Comcast’s Internet Essentials program, their broadband service will be fully covered by ACP.
