In honor of Father’s Day, dads and granddads will enjoy free admission on Saturday, June 17, to the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. Deutschland Through Students’ Eyes, curated by students at Fort Collins High School, is on exhibit in the Main Gallery.

The Global Village Museum has four galleries – two permanent and two rotating. In addition, a music room features international instruments, and youth can enjoy a gnome treasure hunt. The Losel Doll House showcases Tibetan dolls and costumes handmade by Buddhist monks in exile in India after the Communist takeover of Tibet in the late 1950s.

On the first Friday of every month, the Museum offers free admission from 5-8 pm as part of First Friday Art Walk. Waging Willow, a musical trio based in Fort Collins, will perform on June 2 from 6-7:30 pm. The unique band interweaves traditional Celtic music with contemporary folk/rock. On July 7, The States Duo will perform from 5:30-7 pm. The musical duo of Janie Stein and Martin Bates play bluegrass, western, country, folk, and soft rock.

The Global Village Museum is located at 200 West Mountain Avenue, and Museum hours are 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Regular admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, $1 for ages 4-15, and free for children three and under. Adult tours receive discounted admission of $3/person.
