Time-of-Day (TOD) residential electric pricing will begin in October (prices will be reflected on November bills). With TOD, when you use electricity is as important as how much electricity you use. The price you pay changes depending on the time of the day, the day of the week and the season.
TOD has two levels of pricing: off-peak and on-peak, and two seasons: non-summer and summer. Off-peak hours cost approximately 30 percent less than current electric rates with higher prices during on-peak hours. See details at www.fcgov.com/TOD.
- Off-peak hours: 19–20 hours each weekday, all weekend hours and major holidays*
- On-peak non-summer (October–April) hours: 5–9 p.m., weekdays only
- On-peak summer (May–September) hours: 2–7 p.m., weekdays only
*Major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas
