Fort Collins, Colo. (Aug. 16, 2016) – As part of its mission to provide the community with safe and affordable housing, Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity invites the community to Jazz in the Square on Friday, Aug. 19, 6-8 p.m. in Old Town Square. The free event is hosted by the Armstrong Hotel, Ace Gillett’s Lounge and New Belgium Brewery and will present live jazz performances to benefit The House That Beer Built II.
“The House That Beer Built II is a collaboration among numerous remarkable breweries and organizations in Fort Collins,” said Kristin Candella, Executive Director of Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity. “We look forward to this upbeat event to unite the community and bring a safe and comfortable lifestyle to our neighbors.”
Jazz in the Square is presenting live music from The Subterranean Jazz Trio and special guests: John Olson, Gabriel Mervine, Josh Quinlan, Tupac Valverde, Ben Markley and Matt Smiley. The Armstrong Hotel, Ace Gillett’s Lounge and New Belgium Brewery will also be holding an auction to benefit the cause, which will feature a vintage 2004 New Belgium Cruiser, hotel getaway package, Ace Gillett’s t-shirts, drink tokens, New Belgium swag and more.
The House That Beer Built II benefits a new home for the Beavers family. After moving several times in recent years due to lack of affordable housing, they look forward to the stable and secure life ensured by a new home provided by Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity.
