The Second Annual Fort Collins Beer Week (FCBW) will take place June 20-27. Presented by Fortified Collaborations and Wilbur’s Total Beverage, this community-wide “un-festival” will infuse a celebration of the brewing industry into the city’s restaurants, breweries and businesses. “Fort Collins presents such great spirit and creativity associated with brewing,” says Kristina Cash, Founder of Fortified Collaborations. “This week really gives our brewers and business owners the opportunity to show off what makes them shine.”
The Fourth Annual Brewers Olympics will be the opening event, hosted by Go West TShirt Company on Saturday, June 20, from noon-5pm. Go West employees will referee this friendly competition, as teams from each brewery square off in a series of beer related games. Food trucks, spectator activities, bands and plenty of beer will be available. Tickets are $10. All proceeds to benefit Save the Poudre.
Fort Collins’ 15 independent breweries will present three feature events over the week. A collaborative team made up of four to five breweries will plan each event, so they’re sure to be unique and festive events.
Visit Fort Collins has partnered to present a scavenger hunt that will send players to breweries and other locations all over town. Players who post a photo of themselves at a hunt location using the hashtag #FCBWhunt may win a prize and grand prizes will be given away at the end of the week to players who visited every location.
