Foothills Gateway, Inc. is pleased to announce the selection of Lori Metz, MSW, as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer. A respected human services leader with more than 15 years of experience, Metz will guide the organization as it continues its mission of empowering individuals to live the lives they choose.
Metz brings extensive experience in human services leadership, case management systems, Medicaid-funded programs, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and community partnerships. Most recently, she served as Aging & Adult Division Manager for Larimer County Human Services, where she led a division of approximately 50 staff and oversaw programs serving older adults and vulnerable populations.
During her tenure with Larimer County Human Services, Metz worked closely with state agencies, community organizations, and service providers, including Foothills Gateway, to strengthen service delivery and improve outcomes for individuals who rely on community-based supports. Her experience includes building collaborative partnerships, leading organizational change, strengthening compliance and performance systems, and championing data-driven decision making.
“While Lori Metz has big shoes to fill, the Search Committee and Board of Directors have every confidence in her ability to lead Foothills Gateway, Inc., going forward,” said Steven P. Dandaneau, President of the Board of Directors. “Lori possesses truly exceptional expertise, experience, commitment, and dedication. She is poised to build on Erin Eulenfeld’s legacy.”
Metz said she is honored to join an organization whose mission and values closely align with the work she has dedicated her career to advancing.
“Foothills Gateway’s commitment to opportunity, choice, dignity, and person-centered services reflects the values that have guided my career,” said Lori Metz. “I am inspired by the organization’s impact on individuals and families throughout our community and look forward to working alongside dedicated staff, board members, community partners, and the people we serve to build on that strong foundation.”
Leading Foothills Gateway Forward
As CEO, Metz will lead Foothills Gateway’s continued efforts to strengthen services, expand community partnerships, and ensure adults and children enrolled in state and federally funded programs have access to the support, opportunities, and resources they need to thrive.
