FCB (Fort Collins Brewery) is thrilled to take home a gold medal for their fall seasonal, Oktoberfest at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival.

Breweries from all 50 states competed in this year’s GABF, the largest commercial beer festival in the world. More than 6,000 beers representing 92 categories were sent in and blind tasted before choosing the winners from each category.

Stacked against 47 other entries in the Dortmunder or German-Style Oktoberfest category, FCB was awarded the gold medal during Saturday’s award presentation.

“We are very proud and honored to receive a GABF gold medal for our Oktoberfest, said Tina Peters, FCB’s Co-Owner and General Manager. “This has a special meaning for us given our passion for German style beers and brewing.”

In its second season, Oktoberfest unleashes the complexity and depth of Vienna, Munich and Caramel malts that create this beer’s distinct aroma and flavor. German noble hops balance this rich and malty lager with a bouquet of aromas.

Oktoberfest is available to FCB’s distribution footprint through the fall season in 6-packs and on draft. To find Oktoberfest near you, use FCB’s Beer Finder at fortcollinsbrewery.com/beer-finder/.
