WeCare Breakfast for Change

The WeCare Breakfast for Change is a free community breakfast open to all who would like to register and support Crossroads Safehouse’s mission to stop domestic violence and provide a continuum of services to victims of intimate partner abuse and their children. In recognition of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Crossroads will raise awareness throughout the month via the iCare campaign, which will draw on individual and business support to educate the community about the impact of domestic violence. The breakfast will be held one day prior to iCare Day, the culminating event of the iCare campaign, when participating community members will wear symbolic black eye stickers and lapel stickers reading “Ask Me Why iCare.” The event program will spotlight the moving and emotional stories of two families affected by domestic violence in northern Colorado. The message and goal of these survivors is to end the cycle of abuse and instill in our children that abuse of any kind will not be tolerated in our community.
