The Bernstein Effect

Leonard Bernstein’s sphere of influence had a powerful impact on the landscape of American composition. Along with performances of his Chichester Psalms and a West Side Story medley, the Chorale will perform music of some of the composers who benefitted from the ‘Bernstein Effect’: Aaron Copland, Samuel Barber and Stephen Sondheim.
