STUDIO CONCERT 2021

Dance Express steps ahead to present the once-a-year celebration of original, unique choreography, and dance creativity by troupe members in STUDIO CONCERT 2021. This year, for the first time since its inception, the spring Studio Concert will be at the Lincoln Center Magnolia Theatre.
Performing solos is a joy each dancer loves to share. Dancers create and perform his or her dance work with recorded music. By using filmed background dances, dancers in isolation join live performers on stage. Thanks to our technical team, this concert takes a new approach to delivering dance creations. The Dance Express company delights audiences with a variety of group pieces as well. The concert is approximately one hour and content is good for all ages. The Lincoln Center and Dance Express adhere to COVID precautions as recommended in compliance with state, county, and city regulations.

For thirty-two years, since February 25, 1989, Dance Express brings inclusive dance for dancers with and without disabilities in the Fort Collins region and northern Colorado. Starting from our first summer at New West Fest, dancers love performing solos and receiving audience kudos. STUDIO CONCERT 2021 gives everyone a chance in the spotlight. Originally inspired by Theresa Lenahan, sister of Dance Express Artistic Director Mary Elizabeth Lenahan, MS, OT, Dance Express is pleased to continue the tradition of sharing joy and love of dance.

The Board of Dance Express invites you to join us for the afternoon concert on May 16th that promises to bring a smile to your face. The board also invites Chamber and community members to sponsor “watch parties” to celebrate during the webcast running May 27th through 29th.
Webcast tickets must be purchased in advance (by May 26th) to get a link good for 72 hours. A good option in case you miss the live performance or want to share with people in their homes or out of town.
