ABOUT THE EVENT:
Gather around the transformative power of women supporting one another in the face of oppression and hardship.
We’ll begin with a screening of Hidden Letters, a compelling documentary that reveals the story of two Chinese women in modern China connected by their fascination with Nushu—a secret written language created by oppressed women in communist China to foster connection and resilience. This unique language became a lifeline, allowing women to share their lives, songs, and stories, building a powerful network of sisterhood and solidarity.
After the screening, engage in a powerful panel discussion featuring diverse women sharing their personal journeys of facing systemic oppression and discrimination. They’ll explore how the strength of community has empowered them to raise their voices, speak their truths, and create change.
