“Re-Creating the Past: The Archaeology of Beer” will be presented by Travis Rupp in a virtual program from 6-8 pm Thursday, Sept. 3, hosted by the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. Rupp, known as the Beer Archaeologist, is the Innovation & Wood Cellar Manager at Avery Brewing Company in Boulder. The presentation will survey the beginnings of beer in the ancient Near East through its development throughout Europe. Rupp will also explore how beer production and consumption were at the core of ancient cultures and imperial expansion.
