Leadership Northern Colorado Alumni are invited to join us for a Leadership Moment on Tuesday, September 8 at 3:30pm. The moment will be online and provide our alumni and 2020 class members with the opportunity to gain insight into Leadership with Fort Collins Police Chief Jeff Swoboda.
Fort Collins Police Services is a progressive and professional organization, currently employing 214 sworn officers and over 115 civilian staff. Jeff Swoboda was appointed Fort Collins Police Chief June, 2018 after serving as the Police Chief in Elgin, Illinois.During the selection process, City officials “consistently heard about Jeff’s ability to lead through tough challenges, connect and build relationships, champion change, create a compelling vision, and move skillfully between strategy and detail.” Chief Swoboda began his policing career in 1992 as a patrol officer and rose through the ranks before being named the police chief at the Elgin Police Department in 2010. He has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in law enforcement and justice administration.
