The grand opening of the new Losel Doll House at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures is Friday, Feb. 7, with free admission from 6-9 pm. The Museum has a collection of some 50 Losel Dolls, enduring emblems of Tibetan heritage after the takeover of Tibet by Communist China in 1959. In the Museum’s Main Gallery, “Nativities & Festivals of Light” showcases over 100 crèche scenes from around the world as well as observances of light celebrations. “Inspirational Women ~ Rising Through Adversity” in the Hall Gallery honors local and international women who have overcome obstacles to make a difference in the lives of others.
