From 11 am to 5 pm Saturday, May 3, the Museum Shop at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures will offer great discounts on all merchandise (think Mother’s Day!), with many of the items handcrafted in Africa, Asia, Japan or South America. Items include gorgeous jewelry, telephone wire baskets, woven baskets, colorful pillow covers, handmade clothing accessories such as scarves and shawls, neck warmers, knitted gloves and hats, alpaca socks, pottery, scented candles, unique hair clips, vibrant tote bags, and international spices. Kitchenware items include aprons, placemats, kitchen mitts, cloth trivets that can be heated in the microwave, wooden trivets, potholders, skillet handle covers, cups and bowls, wooden spoons… and so much more! Plus, admission to the Museum Shop is free! The Global Village Museum is located at 200 West Mountain Avenue, and Museum hours are 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
