Connect with the Collectors of Unique Collections will be hosted from 5-7 pm Thursday, May 9, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. During the informational meet-and-greet, contributors to the Museum’s Main Gallery exhibit, Collections: Unexpected Treasures, will be present to answer questions about their unique items and the collecting process. Not only are the collections exceptional, but the collectors themselves are extraordinary people. Attendees will meet the individuals who collect glowing uranium glass, barbed wire, pie birds, scrap metal sculptures, bird figurines, combs, baskets, stone axes, fossils, thimbles, trolls, spoons, masks, and beach pebbles. Admission to the gathering is $5 per person, and reservations are requested at globalvillagemuseum.org. Refreshments will be served, and registrants will enjoy free admission to the Museum’s four galleries, Losel Doll house, and international music room. The Global Village Museum is located at 200 West Mountain Avenue, and Museum hours are 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, visit globalvillagemuseum.org or call 970-221-4600.
