Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) is a planning approach that focuses on creating compact, mixed-use developments around public transit stations. It aims to make areas more walkable and bikeable, encouraging the use of public transportation and reducing reliance on private vehicles. TOD often includes residential, commercial, and recreational spaces clustered within a short walking distance of transit hubs.
The City of Fort Collins is including Transit-Oriented Development concepts in its current update to the Land Use Code that will encourage 15-minute City Goals and create resilient commercial centers that support local businesses and are adaptable for future community needs. We want to know what you think about that!
We look forward to having you join us at the CIVIC Conversation on Monday, June 23, from 4:30pm to 6pm at Horse & Dragon Brewing Company and having you share your perspective while considering those of fellow residents.
CIVIC Conversations is sponsored by Elevations Credit Union and hosted by the Fort Collins Area Chamber.
