The Cities of Fort Collins and Loveland jointly own and operate a regional airport that primarily provides general civil aviation facilities. Scheduled commercial service has been problematic, while the governance structure presents challenges in developing a cohesive and sustainable long-term strategy for success. Potential economic impacts are considerable.
