City of Fort Collins Presentation to Red Carpet

On September 10, the Red Carpet Committee meeting will give members an opportunity to generate strategies on Job Opportunities and Economy as part of the Our Climate Future planning process, updating Fort Collins’ Climate Action Plan, Energy Policy, and Road to Zero Waste Plan. This workshop will be an abridged version of the 90 minute process conducted publicly throughout the summer. Due to the shortened format, materials are attached if you would like to do some background reading beforehand.

Background materials:

• “OCF Phase One Theme Infographic” will familiarize you with the project.
• “Our Climate Future Big Barriers and Definitions” will be an important reference at the workshop. These are the biggest barriers to achieving Our Climate Future, according to community input receive this past Fall.

Other considerations:

• In order to fully interact, we strongly encourage you to join the Zoom meeting via a computer. Tablets and smart phones have limited capabilities.
• During the workshop you will be asked to brainstorm solutions for this question:
  • In consideration of the Big Barriers, how can we improve job opportunities and the economy?
