Central America’s protected areas and birds take center stage from 5-7 pm Tuesday, August 20, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. “Central America’s Protected Areas: Diverse, Valuable, and Threatened” will be presented by James Barborak, Co-Director of CSU’s Center for Protected Area Management. “Birds of Central America” will be presented by Nick Komar, biologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Fort Collins. Program admission is $5/person and includes entry into the Museum’s four galleries. In the Museum’s Main Gallery, “Central America ~ Bridging Cultures” showcases artwork, artifacts, and treasures from the seven countries.
