Larimer Chorale open its 42nd season opens with Carl Orff’s powerful, mesmerizing and rhythmic work, Carmina Burana. The work is based on secular – and even carnal – texts, ancient Latin mixes with Middle High German and Old Provençal French on subjects ranging from drinking, gambling, changes in fortune, gluttony, lust, love and the inevitable cycle of life that brings rebirth each year.The concert will feature the Centennial Children’s Chorus and the Canyon Concert Ballet along with professional soloists, collaborating to create a visual and acoustical treat.
