For a magical meal on the summer solstice, An Italian Supper Under the Stars will be hosted from 6:30-9 pm Thursday, June 20, by the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures and City Park Gelato & aMore. The repast is part of the Museum’s Global Adventures club, designed for those who love to travel, want to recount their travel experiences, delight in sharing stories of travel, and/or dream of traveling one day. The special supper will be prepared by Paul and Nenita Pellegrino, long-time residents of Fort Collins and owners of City Park Gelato & aMore. The traditional approach of dining in courses will be mixed with an experience highlighted by conversation and laughter. Dishes will be prepared at table side by Paul, who will share stories of his Italian cultural roots blended with the influence of his wife, Nenita, who is Filipino. The sumptuous menu will include assorted non-alcoholic beverages, Rigatoni LaRosa, Piedmontese alla Fiorentina, Fiorentina of Florence, fresh mozzarella, caprese platters with crostini bread, arugula and fresh fennel salad, gelato, and traditional Italian cookies. Seating will begin at 6:30 pm outside City Park Gelato & aMore at 1720 W. Mulberry Street. In the event of inclement weather, the dinner will be served at City Park Shelter #6. Reservations for the evening are $75 per person, and reservations are required by 5 pm Wednesday, June 12, at globalvillagemuseum.org.
