The Good Samaritan Society – Fort Collins Village, a senior retirement community that provides independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation care and therapy services announces the arrival of a brand new handicapped-accessible transportation bus. The 12-passenger vehicle can accommodate up to five wheelchairs, thus allowing more residents access to community activities.

A non-profit organization, the Good Samaritan Society began raising money for this project more than two years ago. Jan Sawyer, Director of Resource Development for the Fort Collins Village, says, “Due to the generosity of hundreds of donors, we were able to order the new bus in March. It arrived in June, wrapped with exciting graphics that embody the spirit of the continuum of care we provide.” Residents, donors and staff gathered to celebrate at a dedication of the new bus at the Village on Wednesday, July 8.
