Banner Health is making health care easier for Fort Collins consumers with the announcement of an insurance contract renewal.

Effective July 1, consumers insured by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield can receive services in network at Banner Fort Collins Medical Center. All other Banner Health services in Colorado continue to remain in network. Prior to July 1, Anthem members who received care at that hospital were billed out of network.

“This makes our services available to many more consumers in the region,” said Margo Karsten, chief executive officer of Banner Health in Northern Colorado and president of Banner’s Western Region. “A large number of Fort Collins residents now have another choice when seeking medical care including emergency care.”
Banner Fort Collins opened at 4700 Lady Moon Drive in southeast Fort Collins in April 2015. The hospital offers services including labor and delivery, surgery, orthopedics, medical imaging, mammography, laboratory, inpatient care and emergency care. Because of continued growth, the hospital is adding six beds for additional inpatient and maternity care.
