OpenStage Theatre & Company is excited to announce open auditions for the first three productions of its 53rd Season. Auditions will be held Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Backstage Arts Warehouse in Fort Collins. Actors of all experience levels are invited to audition for the following productions:

Misery by William Goldman, adapted from the novel by Stephen King
Performs November 1 – 29, 2025 | Rehearsals begin the week of September 8
The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie
Performs January 10 – February 7, 2026 | Rehearsals begin the week of November 3
The Cottage by Sandy Rustin
Performs March 21 – April 18, 2026 | Rehearsals begin the week of January 26

Auditions for the fourth show of the season, The Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare, will be held in early 2026.

How to Audition:

Open Auditions (for performers new to OpenStage):
Interested actors should submit a headshot, resume, and a two-minute video monologue (in the style of the show(s) they wish to be considered for) to [email protected]. Submissions must be received by Friday, August 8, 2025. Videos should be sent as Google Drive links or attached files; resumes must be in PDF format.

Callbacks and Company Auditions (by invitation only):
Actors invited to callbacks will be sent a sign-up link to select individual time slots for each production. Auditions will consist of cold readings from provided sides.

Saturday, August 23 – Callbacks/Company Auditions
Misery: 10:00am–12:00pm
The Mousetrap: 1:00pm–3:00pm
The Cottage: 5:00pm–7:00pm

Sunday, August 24 – Final Callbacks
Misery: 10:00am–12:00pm
The Mousetrap: 1:00pm–3:00pm
The Cottage: 4:00pm–6:00pm

All auditions will be held at the Backstage Arts Warehouse, 720 East Vine Drive, Fort Collins. Free parking is available on the east side of the building or in the dirt lot across the street. Please allow extra travel time on Saturday, August 23, due to the Tour de Fat festival taking place in the area. Access Vine Drive from I-25, Timberline Road, or Lemay Avenue rather than College Avenue.
