Chamber Welcomes Carol Zick to Team

Nov 16, 2021 | Chamber News

The Chamber is excited to announce another new face. Carol Zick joined our team as the afternoon Welcome Coordinator. She is sharing this role and although here for a limited time each week, she is hopeful to connect with you.

Carol was born in Fort Collins and lived here until 1968.  After graduating from UNC in 1980, she moved back to this community and has lived here since. She married her high school sweetheart, Brian, and is celebrating 40 years of marriage. Together they raised two children in Fort Collins. Recently, she became an “overjoyed” grandma to Bradley.

Also in 1980, and for 30 years after she taught primarily kindergarten and 6th grade in Fort Collins. Retirement has proven to be busy. Carol missed “kids.”  This time, she worked with college “kids!”.  She was employed by CSU to supervise / coach student teachers and also took a day to work at The Ram Book Store.

Carol is an avid supporter of CSU and proud to be a CSU Ram!  She volunteered numerous years for the athletic department as a coordinator for the silent auction at the Ram Good Time Auction.  Carol was also on the Athletic Board of Directors and awarded along with her husband, The Larry LaSasso Spirit Award in 2016.

Carol continues to volunteer for non-profit special events and stays active in civic responsibilities.   She is a current volunteer for the Fort Collins Police Department as a Victims Advocate.

Hobbies include her long standing “Lady Rams Book Club”, golfing, camping, traveling, spending time with wonderful friends and of course her beloved family.

“Fort Collins has certainly seen changes over the years.  However, some wonderful things just don’t!  I am thankful to live in a community that continually has had the spirit of our college students, the drive of our amazing businesses, the dedication of our community leaders, and some of the most friendly and caring citizens.   Fort Collins is a wonderful place to raise a family and call, home! “

Please help us welcome Carol to The Chamber by stopping by or emailing her at [email protected].
