The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce announced the Health Care in Your Future Summit on March 26, 2014. The event is being underwritten by area businesses that participated in the Moving Fort Collins Forward! campaign last fall.
The summit will be held beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites, 4705 Clydesdale Parkway, Loveland, Colorado on March 26, 2014. The Summit will provide members of the business community with the opportunity to learn about how changes in the health care industry will impact their companies, employees and families.
The Health Care Summit will feature a keynote session entitled The Future of Health Care in a Changing Environment by Scott Gottlieb, MD. Dr. Gottlieb is a practicing physician and Resident Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. A leading expert in health policy, Dr. Gottlieb’s work focuses on providing insights into the economic and technological forces driving the transformation of healthcare. Dr. Gottlieb is the author of more than 300 articles that have appeared in leading medical journals as well as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today and Forbes Magazine. Dr. Gottlieb has held editorial positions on the British Medical Journal and the Journal of the American Medical Association and appears regularly as a guest commentator on the cable financial news channel CNBC.
In addition to the keynote session, the Summit will also feature breakout sessions addressing topics including Technology: Driving Innovation in Health Care and The Business Case: Wellness and Health Care Management in the Workplace.
