Canyon Concert Ballet (CCB) presents their inaugural gala, Adult Prom, with an 80s theme.

CCB’s 80s Adult Prom will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Colorado State University Football Stadium. This unique event is sure to be the most talked about event of spring! Over 250 guests will get the chance to relive Prom with DJ There’s An Ape For That spinning 80s vinyls, a three course dinner, dancing, two drink tickets, cash bar, live and silent auctions, and voting for and crowning Prom king and queen.

Tickets may also be purchased:
– In person or via mail at 1031 Conifer Street, Fort Collins, CO 80524
– On the phone at 970-472-4156
– Online at https://CCBAdultprom2019.eventbrite.com

This event supports Canyon Concert Ballet’s outreach programs. CCB does not believe that financial limitations should be an obstacle to dance, so we provide several outreach opportunities:

Scholarship Program

CCB has a needs-based scholarship program which is available to current and potential students. These scholarships are awarded to any student looking to participate in a CCB dance class, and students qualify based on their eligibility for free or reduced lunch through their school district. It is our belief that every child should have the opportunity to learn dance, no matter their economic circumstances.

These scholarships allow aspiring dancers from lesser circumstances to take our classes for free or at a steeply discounted rate. CCB dance scholarships are open to any youth ages 3 through 18. Applicants must demonstrate financial need for a scholarship, based on eligibility for free or reduced lunch through the school district or by submitting a tax return.

Free Voucher Program

This season, Canyon Concert Ballet is providing up to 500 free vouchers to our Nutcracker matinees on December 1, 2018 at the Lincoln Center. Students on free and reduced lunch and students who have never seen a ballet are being targeted at both local charter schools and in partnership with Poudre School Districts arts teachers.

In addition to K-12 students in the local community, CCB has also partnered with Colorado State University’s C-Sharp study, which focuses on the impacts of attending performing arts events on the cognitive performance, wellbeing, and quality of live for people with cognitive impairments like dementia. In this partnership, CCB is providing 60 free tickets (30 to The Nutcracker, and 30 to The Little Mermaid) for people with cognitive impairments to see the performances and be part of this very important study.

Free Community Events

Canyon Concert Ballet recognizes that not everyone can afford tickets to a ballet production, and that some do not know there is a ballet company in Fort Collins. To bring dance to those who do not know, or cannot attend, a full production, CCB performs several times a year for free. Examples include at First Friday Art Walk (at The Artery), at Poudre School District schools, at local senior centers, and at the Poudre Library.
