American Cancer Society Big Dig Provides Day of Fun for Children
Special event to focus on childhood cancer survivors

On July 13, 2019, the northern Colorado community will have the opportunity to operate and explore excavators, boom lifts and many other pieces of large equipment at the Big Dig of Northern Colorado. The event supports the American Cancer Society in their effort to attack cancer from every angle. The event starts at 9 a.m. at Ritchie Bros., 4444 Ritchie Drive in Longmont. Tickets for the event are now available at www.bdnoco.org.

“We are thrilled to hold the 2nd annual Big Dig event on July 13! This event is sure to be full of excitement for children of all ages, and our team has spent a great deal of time and care to ensure this event honors young cancer survivors and their families,” said Amber Nuse, Big Dig co-lead. “This event is a fantastic opportunity to raise money for a great cause, and is just one small way we can all give back to children and families faced with the heart-wrenching struggles of pediatric cancer.”

Participants will be able to use heavy construction equipment, enjoy climbing on the rock wall and can partake in a kid’s clinic from Home Depot.

The American Cancer Society is the cause fighting cancer on every front; standing shoulder to shoulder with cancer patients and those supporting them. Funds raised help the American Cancer Society attack cancer in dozens of ways, each of them critical to achieving a world without cancer – from developing breakthrough therapies to building supportive communities, from providing empowering resources to deploying activists to raise awareness.
