(Jan. 13, 2026) – Banner Health strengthens patient access to minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery across Northern Colorado by adding three new general surgeons: Charles Marriott, MD; Nicole Blythe Moore Rieger, MD; and David Lundy, MD. With their arrival, patients will have expanded availability to abdominal and digestive surgery, along with a broader range of advanced, cutting-edge surgical options.
Dr. Marriott, practicing primarily out of Greeley, and Drs. Rieger and Lundy, practicing primarily in Fort Collins, each bring extensive experience in techniques that support faster recovery and less postoperative pain. Their addition helps shorten wait times and keeps high-quality surgical care close to home.

About the surgeons
•Dr. Marriott focuses on general surgery, including benign biliary disease, hernia repair, gastroesophageal reflux disease and colon surgery. He completed his general surgery residency at UT Health San Antonio and earned his medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
•Dr. Rieger brings fellowship training in advanced minimally invasive, foregut, hernia and bariatric surgery, along with significant experience in robotic-assisted surgery. Her residency at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif., and fellowship at Prisma Health in Greenville, S.C., included extensive work in robotic surgery, as well as multiple research publications and academic presentations.
•Dr. Lundy adds more than a decade of experience as an advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgeon, trauma surgeon and clinical instructor. He completed a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and gastrointestinal surgery at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash., and has served as a robotic surgery committee chairman and surgical proctor. His background in general surgery and complex minimally invasive procedures broadens the team’s ability to manage a wide range of surgical conditions.
