Hunter Aronson, DO, prioritizes restoring mobility and quality of life.

GREELEY, Colo. (Dec. 16, 2025) – Banner Health advances orthopedic care in Northern Colorado with the addition of Hunter Aronson, DO, a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement. Dr. Aronson joined Banner Health in September 2025, growing the team of Joint Replacement Center, led by Kirk Kindsfater, MD, who joined Banner in October 2024. The expanded team will enable Joint Replacement Center to grow in both Greeley and Fort Collins, helping patients regain mobility and independence throughout the region.

Dr. Aronson earned his doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Denver in 2019, completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Franciscan Health/Midwestern University in Chicago, Ill. in 2024 and finished a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Cape Cod Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Hyannis, Mass. in 2025.

In addition to hip and knee replacements, Dr. Aronson treats general orthopedic trauma, including fractures and infections. He performs surgeries primarily at North Colorado Medical Center (NCMC) in Greeley, with additional procedures at the NCMC – Loveland Campus and Mountain Vista Clinic Surgery Center in Greeley.

“In orthopedics, we don’t save lives; we save lifestyles,” Dr. Aronson said. “While hip and knee arthritis is not life-threatening, it can have a major limitation on patients in daily living and prevent them from doing the things that they enjoy. Hip and knee replacement can quickly relieve arthritis pain and my goal is to get patients back to doing the things they love so they can continue to stay active and healthy.”

A Colorado native who grew up in Boulder, Dr. Aronson chose orthopedics because he values clear, solution-driven care that restores quality of life. He understands how important staying active is to Coloradans and how mobility directly affects overall health and happiness. Dr. Aronson was drawn to hip and knee replacement because of the immediate and lasting improvement it offers patients, many of whom walk the same day as surgery and return quickly to their daily routines.

“The nice thing about hip and knee replacement is that not only does it provide an instant fix for a problem that can be life-limiting, but it’s also completely elective,” Dr. Aronson said. “Patients decide when they’re ready and that timing is important because it’s their choice. It’s gratifying to see someone go from struggling to walk to regaining their independence and returning to an active lifestyle.”
