PRESS RELEASE

Baessler Homes and Hartford Homes Announce Plans to Join Forces, Forming Baessler Hartford Homes

Two longtime Northern Colorado homebuilders are coming together with a shared vision to build the most valuable communities in their marketplace.

NORTHERN COLORADO | October 07, 2026

Hartford Homes and Baessler Homes, two longstanding Northern Colorado homebuilders and community developers, today announced plans to combine their companies and form Baessler Hartford Homes.

The anticipated merger is expected to be finalized Year-End 2026, subject to the completion of the companies’ remaining transaction and employee ownership details. Until the merger is finalized, Hartford Homes and Baessler Homes will continue to operate as separate companies while working collaboratively toward the transition.

The combination brings together two companies with deep roots in Northern Colorado. Hartford Homes was founded in 1988 and has developed more than 40 communities and built more than 5,200 homes throughout the region. Baessler Homes, founded in 1968, has also built more than 4,500 homes during its history and has established a longstanding commitment to building homes and giving back throughout Northern Colorado.

Together, the companies will bring more than seven decades of local experience, relationships and community knowledge to one organization.

“Our companies have spent decades building in the same communities, working with many of the same people and sharing a similar belief that what we build should make a meaningful difference.” said Jamie Baessler, Chief Executive Officer of Baessler Homes and future Chief Executive Officer of Baessler Hartford Homes. “This is an opportunity to bring those synergies together and build something designed for the long term.”

Landon Hoover, current Chief Executive Officer of Hartford Homes and future Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Baessler Hartford Homes, added, “Hartford Homes has been fortunate to be part of Northern Colorado for nearly four decades. We’ve built more than homes; we’ve built relationships, communities and a deep understanding of what makes this region special. Bringing that experience together with Baessler’s history and strengths creates an exciting opportunity to build on what both companies have accomplished while creating something new for the future.”

A Shared Vision for Northern Colorado

The new company will be guided by a shared vision to build the most valuable communities in the marketplace through three points of value:

Great Places – Create communities that people can attain, are proud to call home, and that make life better to live, work, and grow within them.

Great Relationships – Build lasting relationships with team members, trade partners, homeowners, Realtors, municipalities and the broader communities the company serves.

Great Finance – Build a financially strong and sustainable organization capable of making thoughtful, long-term investments in its people, communities, and future.

The companies believe their complementary strengths and shared values create an opportunity to improve processes, strengthen relationships and create highly desirable communities throughout Northern Colorado.

“This isn’t simply about becoming a larger homebuilder,” said Baessler. “It’s about bringing together two organizations that understand Northern Colorado, understand the importance of relationships and care deeply about what we are building here. Together, we have an opportunity to create even better places and a stronger Team for the future.”

Employee-Owned Future

Upon completion of the merger, Baessler Hartford Homes is expected to be 100% employee-owned through the establishment of a new Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Employee ownership will provide a foundation for building a company in which team members have a direct stake in the long-term success of the organization.

The strategic leadership team for Baessler Hartford Homes will include:

  • Jamie Baessler — Board Member, Chief Executive Officer
  • Landon Hoover — Chairman, Chief Financial Officer
  • Steve Bricker — President of Homebuilding
  • Patrick McMeekin — President of Land

The leadership structure is designed to provide continuity while bringing together the experience and expertise of both organizations.

Looking Ahead

The anticipated completion of the merger is year-end 2026 and will mark the beginning of a new chapter for both organizations, one that brings together decades of experience while creating a foundation for the future.

“Both Hartford Homes and Baessler Homes have been fortunate to be part of Northern Colorado for generations,” said Baessler. “We have a tremendous amount of respect for what each company has built independently. Now we’re excited about what we can build together.”

Baessler Hartford Homes will continue the legacy of two locally rooted companies with a shared commitment to creating communities where people can build their lives, relationships and futures.
