Australia – the Land Down Under – will take center stage from 6-8 pm Wednesday, Nov. 15, during the
monthly gathering of Global Adventures at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures.
The monthly gatherings are designed for those who love to travel, want to recount their travel
experiences, delight in sharing stories of travel, or dream of traveling one day. The hosts for Global
Adventures are Daniel and Alice Owen, who lived and worked abroad for 32 years and have visited 85
countries to date.

Sailing Around Australia will be presented by Klaus Lorenz, Professor Emeritus with the Department of
Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University. Dr. Lorenz, a global traveler to 104
countries across all continents, will recount his excursions to explore the country, meet the people, and
view the wildlife.

Reservations for the gathering are $10/person, and registration is requested at globalvillagemuseum.org.
Wine and refreshments will be served, and there will be time for socializing and meeting other travelers.
All are welcome – you need not be a Museum member to attend.

Participants are encouraged to arrive early as their registration includes admission to the Museum. In
the Main Gallery, Australia and New Zealand: Miles Apart explores the rich cultures, histories, and arts
of the two countries. The exhibition runs through Nov. 18.

For the December gathering, a group trip to Denver’s Christkindl Market is envisioned. If you are
interested, please email [email protected].

The Global Village Museum is located at 200 West Mountain Avenue, and Museum hours are 11 am to
5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. For more information and closure dates during the change of exhibits,
