Animal Friends Alliance is thrilled to announce the return of Run Fur Fun 2025, a 5K
“run, walk & wag” event taking place on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Odell Brewing
Co, located at 800 E. Lincoln Avenue in Fort Collins. The race begins at 10:00 a.m.
MDT and the event goes through noon.
This year’s event promises fun for all ages — even your well-behaved, leashed canine
companions are welcome to join in!
Participants can choose among a Timed 5K, Fun Run (non-timed), or Kids Fun Run.
Registration includes a race t-shirt (while supplies last), race bag, sticker, a
complimentary pancake from Snooze, and a beer from Odell Brewing for participants 21
and older.
The scenic course follows a down-and-back route along the Poudre Trail, starting just
west of Odell’s entrance and offering beautiful views of the Cache la Poudre River.
Water stations will be available at the turnaround and finish.
In addition to the race, attendees can enjoy live music from The Sugar Britches, a
costume contest with multiple categories, and balloon animals from the NOCO Clown
Club. Awards and costume contest winners will be announced before noon.
All proceeds benefit Animal Friends Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to
improving the lives of over 13,000 cats and dogs each year through adoption,
spay/neuter, and community support programs.
“Run Fur Fun brings the community together for a day of fun, costumes, and running —
all while supporting animals who need homes and care,” said Rachel Rasmussen,
Fundraising and Events Administrator. “Whether you’re a serious runner, casual walker,
or want to bring your pup along, this event offers something for everyone.”
