‘No Regrets, Fix Your Pets’ Theme Highlights the Lifesaving Impact of Spay/Neuter Procedures
Fort Collins, CO- Animal Friends Alliance is excited to announce the return of February Fix Fest, a month-long fundraiser and awareness campaign that promotes the importance of spay/neuter in reducing pet overpopulation. With the ink-spired theme, “No Regrets, Fix Your Pets,” this year’s Fix Fest reminds the community of the permanent and positive impact that spay/neuter procedures have on the lives of pets and the families who love them.
Every year, millions of pets face homelessness due to overpopulation, a crisis that spay/neuter programs directly combat. In February, Animal Friends Alliance aims to raise $38,000 to fund critical programs, including spay/neuter surgeries for shelter animals and essential medical equipment for their public subsidized spay/neuter clinic. In 2024 alone, the Alliance fixed a record-breaking 8,812 dogs and cats through their community veterinary clinic, animal shelter, and assisting community cats through TNR (trap-neuter-return). Thanks to a generous supporter, Cyndi D. Brown of Loveland, they are kicking off this fundraiser with a $10,000 match, doubling your giving impact.
“Did you know every spayed or neutered animal receives a small tattoo marking the procedure? This tattoo serves as a permanent symbol of health and safety—just like our commitment to keeping pets healthy and reducing overpopulation. Spaying or neutering pets is one of the most important decisions you can make for their health and well-being,” said Izzy Heichman, Clinic Medical Services Manager at Animal Friends Alliance. “It’s also a proactive step toward preventing pet homelessness and ensuring fewer animals face uncertain futures. February Fix Fest is our way of celebrating the lifesaving power of this vital procedure while rallying the community to help us expand our impact.”
The community can get involved in February Fix Fest in a variety of fun and meaningful ways:
